Default Wifi makes a difference.

After all this time of having a screwed up Wifi I realize it was the router. Once I got a new router I'm sitting on 19 hours with 39% left. I know some people have better battery life than that but I'm impressed. Btw im running myn's warm 2.2 with kings#11 kernal. It's awesome and fast

That's about right for battery life then. I don't think you can do much better.

im convinced the only thing that kernels/roms can help mitigate is usage burn, radio burn (no signal) is going to drain a battery no matter what. I keep my phone on wifi at my house and get great battery life. At work, when the phone is on 3G and not getting any signal the battery dies wicked fast. between 730 and 1030 today my battery dropped from 85% to 25%. Ive also had my battery die in 3 hours flat because of no signal.

yea, I forget where i read it, (i think when i used to go to ppcgeeks forums) but there was actually a lengthy detailed rundown of real world usage of 3G vs wifi, and wifi definately draws less power.

I took this from my first post on battery life. I wish it could be better cause I realize I barely used the phone during the 22hrs. Half of it was sleep and only ten minutes in a call and some YouTube videos. Also some music with PowerAMP.

After experimenting I have found out that instead of putting it in airplane mode you could just turn off 3g and it last quite a bit(at work). I only turn it on during break time. Leaving 3g makes me be lucky to leave work in double digit battery power.

I second this. Pretty much don't use 3G, and sure as heck not 4G, if you don't have to. My battery will literally stand for hours at a certain percent with 3G off and screen off. I don't have a WiFi router yet but seriously thinking about getting one just for use when I'm at home.
