Guys ,
Anybody out there who has installed leaked honey comb music app on froyo g5 .I have been trying this but not successful. Please reply if anybody did so.

Hi guys, I have a problem.
I converted to ext2 an now i want to convert back to RFS, but accidentally i deleted the data.backup and cache.backup files. Any solution how to convert back to RFS? Maybe you guys can share those files?1? Or i'm stuck with ext2??

Hi John000,

from a "normal" user's perspective batfix is the same as the leaked froyo (it has a few extra bits and pieces) but the battery lasts forever. I think you void your warranty by flashing your phone, but it seems as if you have already flashed your phone so you have nothing to lose!

@motafoca thank you, i flashed my phone but after the boot is asking me for the pattern to unlock the phone. I suppose that is your pattern?!?

I tried honeycomb media but it fails every time do anyone know why

I have also tried it after removing my default music player but
then also it just fails:confused:

can anyone suggest what to do

great job on the new release - really impressed with the constant updates.

Just a few suggestions -

1. Zeam launcher is orphaned at the moment - launcherpro i find is by far the best.

2. An issue that bothers me is that the battery time is usually usurped by the phone searching for signal - mainly when searching for 3g and hsdpa networks. Must be something to do with inefficient code - could this be fixed?

3. I use a great program called green power to automatically switch off wifi and 3g except for mms reception while the screen is off. Could this be integrated into the system to conserve app run-time ram and battery?

Just called to samsung lithuania, and they said, that froyo wiil be released in the end of february. As usually, they are not sure if this will be.
So one more month of waiting.

Problem with flashing

I have a problem with flashing with Odin. When I put my phone in Downloading mode and connect with PC, the port Com1 becomes yellow and I press Start It shows me the Start Thread detected and the final row is:
<1>setup connection...
And it starts the counting, but nothing happens. I have flashed my Galaxy 5 many times, but never have had such a problem. So, if someone knows how to fix it, please help me. I'm currently with JK3 firmware.

I tried for honeycomb app after un installing the default music app but now I lost the stock one, titanium backup is not restoring it. music app is missing in launcher. Can anyone help me getting back the default music app .

    Odin v4.28 & Ops File

    1. Extract Odin v4.28 and Ops File.zip I5500XXXX.rar
    2. Open Odin v4.28,
    - Select OPS tab: EUROPA_I5508_v1.0.ops
    - Select BOOT tab: I5500XXXXX_BOOTLOADER.tar.md5
    - Select PHONE tab: I5500XXXXX_amss_phone_CL462398.tar.md5
    - Select PDA tab: I5500XXXXX_PDA_CL500331.tar.md5
    - Select CSC tab: I5500XXXXX_CSC_SER_CL498242.tar.md5
    - Make sure Auto Reboot & Protect OPS selected in Option tab

    You can flash only the pda file.

    3. Turn off phone, remove battery for 5second, put it back
    4. Hold "Volume Down, Center button & Power button" in the same time to enter Download Mode

    Hi everyone,

    I'm working on the GT-I5500 for about 10 days, played alot, flashed alot and i finaly got to learn how it works
    Well i have created a modified froyo version based on samsung's I5500LAR0JP2
    Basically i tweaked the initiation scripts and got the powersave gorvernor set to ondemand
    It was performance, so the cpu clock was always at max
    The battery now lasts about 3 times more according to testers and the device aparently is more stable. All the apps are the same
    Setcpu can be removed since the powersave mode is now default

    To install it, use the odin procedure as the same as the I5500LAR0JP2
    Remember to do a factory wipe after installing
    Below the file, DO NOT RENAME THE FILE TO .TAR OR ANYTHING ELSE, odin will do the checksum of the file so you know it has been downloaded correcty

    Update:

    Downloaded and installed the usa firmware successfully!!.......Phone starting up with GT-I5500B.......some new icons.....:

    6. Downloads

    I was not getting internet connection and saw that the APN Type has changed to Internet.......I selected Internet+MMS+DUN and it started working again.....

    Will post again.....let me test and play with it more.........
