Worms World Party on P3600

Hi,

For those of you who have spent their hard earnt cash on possibly the best game out there for the Pocket PC platform (Worms World Party) only to find that you cant assign buttons for Fire, Jump and Backflip, I came across a fix I found at 4pda.ru. Here I give details (in english) on how to make this work with the P3600.

I have Worms World Party version 1.04. You'll need to edit the file WWPSave.dat (with a Hex Editor) in your WWP installation folder. The bytes at locations: 10B, 10C and 10D correspond to the keycodes for Fire, Jump and Backflip respectively. I believe the default values are each in the range of C1-CF.

I noticed not all buttons can be assigned, in particular the start, ok and center-D buttons on the P3600 (perhaps I have the wrong key-codes). If someone could confirm the following keycodes are correct, it would help a lot:

Windows Button = 0x5b
Left Menu Button (above green call button) = 0x70
Right Menu Button (above red call button) = 0x71
Green Call Button = 0x72
Red Call Button = 0x73
center-D Button = 0x0d
OK buttons (both) = 0x75
Camera Button = 0xc4
Voice Recorder Button (next to power button) = 0xc1

Anyway, I have attached a modified WWPSave.dat file which should work with the P3600. The keys are as follows:

Fire = Left Menu Button
Jump = Voice Recorder Button
BackFlip = Camera Button

Hope this helps someone out there

PS: I'm not trying in anyway to claim this fix is my own work. Its pretty difficult to find (via search engine) if you dont know what you're looking for, so I thought more publicity is needed.

does anyone find that wwp loads in a small corner of the screen and not full screen?

Tanks a lot, jamesbest77! On my Hermes only the "Backflip" button didn't work and there was no way to assign any of the available buttons. But with your list of keycodes I could manually assign it to the red phone button and now everything works perfectly!

can someone upload the wwpsave.dat for an htc touch? i dont know how to use the hex editor :s
