Are there any downsides of doing this "task 28 55aa" command on device such as the Apache? I was stuck in bootloader mode and did this first instead fo the set 14 0. I was able to get out with set 14 0, but when I tried to update my radio ROM with the latest Carrier upgrade, I get the Error 100. So, I am trying to figure our if there was a correlation between the task 28 55aa & my issues, and if so, how I can roll back the change.

Thanks

I get: Invalid command: task 28 55aa.

I'm trying this on my SMT5600. Am I doing something wrong??

Also, is the m5000ruu.exe good for my phone?? I can't find a working ROM anywhere!!

I had the same problem, in case this helps this is what I did

Brief history:
- Had working O2 XDA Exec, Bootloader 2.01
- Flashed Helmi's WM6 V1.1
- Flashed succeeded but on hard reboot stuck on Bootloader
- Carried out the task28 with mtty and flashed back with original O2 ROM (Xda_Exec_Upgrade_v113188.exe)
- Now have fuzzy screen
- Put into bootloader mode and rang mtty again task 28 command
- This time ran MaUpgradeUt_noID with Helmi's AKU3.5 ROM nk.nbf, his empty ms_.nbf extended rom and Radio 1.14 radio_.nbf files, i.e. to make sure all parts of rom were flashed (however O2's upgrade did say it was flashing radio, extended and normal rom)
- Hard Reset
- Booted up again :-)

I presume the O2 ROM is the problem ?

Machine is XP SP2, Activesync 4.5 and USB connection disabled in Activesync, using usb cable directly connected to PC not a hub.

this is great, i tried to upgrade again to the new jwright wm6 rom.
the comp tells me it couldn't get my device info, and then my phones stuck in boot loader.. (boot loader v1.00) i followed these instructions and BLAM!
i'm now currently upgrading!

i reset my phone with no sd card ot sim card inside.
my phones in the bootloader sceen and the computer i had that mtty program running.. it didn't have a usb device to connect too, so i open task manager and closed the programs that i was adviced to close the rapidmgr and wnce.. whatev

re open mtty and i recognized there was somthing plugged into the usb port. typed that stuff in mtty and BLAM.. i get the success screen that we're provided a screen shot for.

retried the upgrade and it's now 50% completed upgrading the radio!

love this website, and all ya'll.
