Fastest ROM with WiFi tethering?

Hi Guys,

I am completely new to rooting, but I'd like to give it a go. The main things I'm looking for is for my new ROM to be fast (hopefully faster than stock?) and for the possibility of WiFi tethering.

Could you advise me what to choose?

Elelinux-2.2.1-Stock, I would say, this is a very stable 2.2 ROM for a new-to-root user.
