Hi Apache 14 - firstly, many thanks for sharing your hard work, I'm on my 2nd version of your Kenel and really pleased with the improvements.

My Request: I'm trying to use my Cisco phone on my Desire HD but need to load a Kernel with TUN device in kernel (CONFIG_TUN=y) so that I can run VPNC sucessfully - would it be possible for you to release a VPNC freindly version for those like me who want to be able to use their Cisco Soft phone but also want to keep the improvements you've made - I dont want to switch to another Kernel...

Any help would be appreciated.

Any idea when your kernel will work with 2.3? I'm using Revolution HD and don't want to update to 5 until the kernel is ready because I don't want to go without the smartass governor and the volume boost...

BTW I recently read the powersave gov statically sets the frequency to the lowest one in the freq range while performance statically sets it to the highest. So if I'd set min freq = max freq then there'd be no difference between the two?

I was under the impression that powersave also dynamically adjusted the frequency just with a heavy tendency to low frequencies.

ARHD 5.1.3 uses Buzz 2.0.0 (where's the thread for it by the way? Can't find it ), so no need to try this one - it won't work properly with gingerbread AFAIK.

Isn't released yet, Mike posted a link in his thread somewhere though. I think its better to wait for 2.0.1, Apache is currently working on it. Old one only works on froyo.

Hy guys, i know this is a noob question, but i want to learn before i try something: What is a Kernel, what does it control from the android system, and what would updating the Kernel do for my phone? So far i found that kernel is something like a driver for processor, but i would like some more info. Does each Kernel come with it's own Set CPU or CPU Tuner Program or are they universal? What setting should i chose for CPU Tuner if i want to save as much battery under normal use, and only overcloack on demand, when i watch a movie or play a game.
