Anyone know if a longer cable is available for the charger?..a Samsung one?

I assume this works for charging if used with the OEM samsung brick, right?

A little more hackish, but why not just use a Male to Female USB extension.

Very high quality, can't beat the price. Much better alternative than spending $10-$20 for a knock-off OEM cable.

Yes! AFAIK Monoprice makes or at least has their house brand cables manufactured themselves. Their prices are amazing and their quality is a notch above the "premium" cables that Best Buy pushes on you.

I can also vouch for the Amazon Basics USB extenders as we use a ton of the 3m ones at work.

Remember that the Tab will slow charge unless you use a charger that can tell it to fast charge. Otherwise it thinks it's charging off a PC USB port and won't draw more than 500mA. I haven't measured the Samsung adapter to see if D+/D- are shorted, but on my Nexus One and Nook Color this trick works great

Yes, I have bought tons of stuff from them. 2 TV mounts about a year back...$50 each for top quality mounts (better than the $500 mounts Best Buy sells). Recently I have purchased about four micro-USB cables for my Evo (for the car, the house, the apartment, etc.). And I have also purchased audio cables from them.

Never a problem...great products, great pricing. Can't go wrong!
