Any chance of a version based on the new GB release?, it was by far my favorite ROM...

I second this wholeheartedly. I have been running Turbo 3.70 as daily driver for months and have experienced awesome battery life wit this rom and stock HTC 15 kernel.

Just updated to rooted gb official and battery life sucks compared to rs Turbo. I will let new rom settle couple of days first but if poor batt life persists I may have to go back to Turbo rom until ricsims works his magic with official gb update.

And yes I've already deleted all the bloatware that came with official gb update.

Default Found a better ROM than stock GB Sense update

I flashed Deck GB AOSP ROM 1.0 stable and it works great! Much better (i.e. much faster) than official GB Sense update.

Flashed latest Tiamat Kernel and battery life seems to be comparable with Ricsims 3.70 Turbo w/ HTC 15 kernel. And everything actually works.

Also have it O/Cd to 1152mhz (any higher causes FCs and reboots) w/ Smartass goverenor.

Gonna try this setup for a couple of days before I pass final judgement, but it looks as this will be my DD.

And I can always flash back to RS 3.70 Turbo via Amon Ra if problems appear.

Linpack over 40 and Quadrant in the 1700s.

AOSP all the way!

I was getting scores in that neighborhood on Virus's inspire 4g port, on android 2.2, if you nee proof i have screenshots posted in that thread. And my battery life oc'd to 1.2ghz was by far the best of any rom I've ever ran.

With that said, wait untill htc releases the source code for the new kernel and try out one of the shift ports.

So where do you get the kernels from? I see all these roms here and I don't know if they have the kernel included?

I havnt come across any ROM that didnt include a kernel. A lot of Dev's might put a custom kernel in their rom, but most of these stock-ish or just Sense roms come with whatever HTC's newest kernel is, or at least the newest kernel that is available.

If you want to put a different kernel in, then you have to flash it yourself.. There are threads on here containing links to all of the "stock" kernels, or something custom like SavagedZen or Netarchy. Someone correct me if im wrong, but any rom you download will also contain and install a compatible kernel with it.
