I've just got an email back from O2 saying it will cost me £15 quid. I'll try some of these many stalls that I see in my high street and see if they can do it. But free unlocking is defo out of the question?

You can try for free whether it can be unlocked or not but the actual unlock is not free. Check pdf for free compatibility test for unlocking: UnlockStreak Free

It actually works though. I had a bitchfit to o2 about my price plan and how I had to wait a month for it to change, so I did that live chat thing and the guy not only changed my tariff there and then, he also gave me a free month's allowance which was 300 UK texts and 500mb of internet for free!

Default Unlock sucess

Hi,

Like a lot of reader of this post I've a Dell Streak lock on O2.

I've contacted Shallow blue see last post and they have succeeded to unlock my device with the IMEI and service tag.

Like you understand, it's not free of course but it works for me.
