Heyy there...
I am a music junkie n used many apps..... every1 has its kwn speciality I musy say... but after all the hard work... :P. I came to a conclusion wid 2 gr8 apps ....

1. Poweramp-its a gr8 alternate music apps n it has the potential to replace the pre installed app wid its gr8 customisation options.... diff effects n a gr8 performance wid gestures n album art options also tge widgets are gr8... but every good thing also has a bad side... while usin it many users found a prob. Wid the volume.... its comparatively low... n that's not the prob. Of earfones or speaker.... also u have to pay for it in android market... otherwise you will not get the latest version n its pretty xpensive for a price of an app...

2. U can find an ultimate music app using google...:P.(sorry I lost my history so can't tell u the path) there are plenty of pages available which will provide u the link to download the honeycomb music app for you gingerbread or froyo running smartfone... ;) I prefer it more coz it has no prob. N gives user a gr8 xperience with better performance if u like to listen to music... wid joy I must say...also supports widget.. the best player... m usin it now a days...

3. Third one is winamp.... its a good app wid podcastin n syncin option but doesn't support tge folder playoption... :( ...not a very good user interface...

DONATE TO ME
Before upgrading from 2.1 to 2.3 I used PlayerPro but since it doesn't work any more (force close-loop) I use Songbird and Fede's Music App.

PowerAmp! Becouse of swipe gestures, that can be done for changing tracks or albums, and auto pause / auto continue on disconnecting / connecting headphones. Plus equalizer. Plus nice lock screen.

In my opinion, MixZing Player is amazing.
PowerAmp has always had issues with me, if you need an Equalizer..Download DSP or Equalizer from the market - except DSP.

There is an amazing Music player out in the market but my lord its hefty, it requires I think 20Mbs and requires a very fast CPU etc. Can't remember the name but its very nice.
