Default [FIX] lagfree XXKG2 deodexed Browser

Hiho, I thought it might interest you if you're on 2.3.4 SGS2 and on a deodexed ROM.

Here's a lagfree Version of the Browser.apk...

You'll need:
  • SGS2
  • deodexed XXKG2
  • ROOT
  • any Explorer (with root rights)

To Do:

1. put the "Browser KG2.apk" attached on your SD card
2. use the root explorer to rename the old "Browser.apk" to "Browser.apk.bak"
3. rename the "Browser KG2.apk" to "Browser.apk"
4. use the root explorer to copy/cut the "Browser.apk"(fix version) to "/system/app"
5. test it and post your experiences please... for me its working
if its not working: 6. delete the new "Browser.apk" and change the name of the "Browser.apk.bak" back to "Browser.apk"

Greetings, Cloud2F

and thanks to designgears

Feedback please.

Can someone check if this is solution gives back full HW acceleration on the browser, some fixes remove the lag but its not HW accelerated ( no bounce effect ) and slight jitter when fast scrolling / zooming;
Because everyone has a different level of standards, others might be just lower than average.

Deodexing breaks the HW acceleration on the browser, thats where the lag comes from.
