Default Gmail IMAP and HTML e-mails

Anyone else having problems with using Google's new IMAP service on their Excalibur and not receiving bodys of HTML e-mails? I get the subject, but no content.

Small talk here, but no real resolution...

Google issue or issue with the WM6 devices?

Do you use the built-in client?

I had a similar problem but only with emails that had a label(folder) associated with it. I had to remove all labels(folders), then recreate them applying them to the appropriate messages. After that, I started receiving the messages properly.

I use Profimal rather than the built in client. I was not aware that the built in client supported HTML messages. I will have to check it out.

I am using T-Mobile Dash WM6.

Isn't HTML email only supported with Exchange 2007? That's what I thought.

For DirectPush yes ... but IMAP & POP accounts are natively supported.

It's funny w/ Gmail's new IMAP, I do get some HTML e-mails fine, others just the subject. Perhaps the HTML char set that isn't supported by the WM6 mail client ?

It is supported since it works fine with POP. The problem is with the new IMAP gmail implementation.

If you go here, you can report to Google that you too are having this issue with a single click. With luck, a few thousand of us clicking it will move the priority up. Feel free to post the link in other forums / threads.

It's good to see it's on the Gmail known issue list ... hopefully it will be resolved soon. I'm thinking Google released IMAP so it would work with the iPhone and never really tested Windows Mobile.
