Default AdFree Android Not blocking ads!!!

Now getting ads in apps such as Angry Birds and Diversion to name a few on my DROID X2. Any advice on a substitute app to prevent ads or maybe a fix for AdFree Android! Thanks in advance!

If you're rooted and willing to pay for an app, get Absolute System Root Tool. I think it's like $2.99. It has a ad blocking service, and to me it works great. Never have ads in games or in browser. Has more features like a font gallery, where you can choose another system font, same with bootanimations, and more.

They both use pretty much the same way of blocking ads--the hosts file. You gotta keep in mind that not all ads are going to be blocked. That's just not going to happen. App developers know that there are solutions like AdFree, and so they use new ad servers, or use different methods of getting the ads across.

Think about it this way: You're a dev, you create a new free app and put it on the market, you want to make a little money from it because it took you 50+ hours of hard work, so you put ads in it, and put an Ad-Free version on the market for $.99. If you don't like the ads in Angry Birds, shell out the $.99, but don't complain because you are getting something for free....

+1 (I just bought Absolute System Root Tool)

These "apps" are usually cents, not normally more than a few dollars. If the ads get the devs a bit of beer money, I am okay with that, thank you for a good app. If there is an ad-free version, I will buy it, thank you for a great app.
