Looks great, the name fits the ROM, I'll flash it after the weekend.

Q: Which kernel? If I want to use Galaxian with your ROM, is it best to delete the init.d scripts you added? (by this I mean the tweaks)

Is this the first themed odexed ROM for SGS i9000?

Is the 3D fix added to the rom? (Attached) credits to currydude and the person before that who uploaded it.

Notes:
(1) Deodexing has the advantage of easy customization, but it breaks some apps like the browser. Since Simplicity needs few customization, it isn't required to do so. And since it's odexed, it will boot faster.
Not entirely true... sure, the first boot will be faster than the deodexed equivalent, but all subsequent boots will be the same. Please don't falsely advertise.

Thx in andvace.

I haven't experienced any problem by doing so. So no, I don't think it's a problem ;).

Not quite sure, could be.

Is the 3D fix added to the rom? (Attached) credits to currydude and the person before that who uploaded it.

No, I planned to do so in the next version. Thanks for linking the file :D New version coming soon.

Very promising!
Could we have battery % ?
Thanks!

I'll add a battery percentage add-on soon. After installing the zip, you'll have the percentage ;).

I really like the looks of this ROM. Trying this instantly. ;)

Thank you :). Post your thoughts ;)

Sorry, didn't know that, I thought I had read that somewhere. Fixed. I thought odex files were optimized files to reduce disk space? So it still has an advantage ;).

Edit:
I just saw I forgot to add the kernel and modem in the installation zip. So please wait with installing till 0.2 is ready. If you already did install, you can install 0.1 to 0.2 update zip which will install the modem and kernel included.

I used APK Manager. I copied the system apk's and odex files to the place-apk-here-to-batch-optimize and then used option 15.

I don't know if it's needed to also copy the odex files.

No problem ;)

Thx for a quick reply!!

Btw, why u give me cred for ur rom? :p

    Simplicity 2.1

Here is our brand-new Simplicity 2.1 - based on Android 2.3.6 JVZ

    http://www.multiupload.com/ZPNJZ9M9K0

Special credits for their contribution to this release go to Stratosk (for helping and the Kernel), geri.st (beta-testing stuff) and zeppelinrox (for his great newest Supercharger script)

    Notes:

    - Although this is as always a no-wipe release a wipe is strongly recommended this time. Also consider to flash stock JVZ first to make sure you are on the newest bootloaders. It is not a must but better safe than sorry.

    - Furthermore it takes some time to update the first post and the cooker because d0ggy is in the middle of his examinations right now. So please show some understanding and don't push him. Both will be updated as soon as he has time.

    - Also be aware that there are still a few minor things not included. The most obvious missing thing is the modded launcher - as i have already explained we have had troubles with some tools; we decided to just wait for $omator's trusted stock+ (who has by the way the same troubles); which will be part of our rom from the next release on again.
Nevertheless you will get a rom that is completely tweaked in our Simplicity way, stable and optimized to the max.

Here is an extract of the changelog with the most important changes to 1.6.1 (the full version will be updated in first post):

    - Semaphore Kernel 2.1.1s!!!! A big thank you again to Stratosk for compiling a Kernel especially for Simplicity
    - moved to newest Supercharger Script RC4 (more stable, more features)
    - removed low battery warning (sound and popup)
    - added Samsung Task Manager
    - switched to AOSP lockscreen
    - ported all the other cool stuff you were used to from our previous releases (except the few things i mentioned above)
    - fixed Market problems
    - fixed Superuser problems
    - and much more that i cannot remember right now -> will be updated in first post to given time

    Happy flashing

    Hey Simplicity Fans,

thank you for your feedback. I will provide you a cwm zip with adjusted LMK/OOM settings this evening. After applying you should have around 20 MB more usable ram for apps und a launcher, which is hard to kill. These settings should fit better to your issues than the mentioned multitasking setting.

    Bushido

    Hey guys,

as promised here is the script with the adjusted Simplicity 1.5.1 LMK and OOM settings.

What will this script do to your phone:
    - it allows more multitasking than the Simplicity default values do
    - it offers a good compromise between multitasking and performance
    - it will revert the Simplicity 1.5.1 default tweaks, which will provide the best performace for your I9000 (i.e. for all those, who had problems with our small tweak test)
    - it makes your launcher harder to kill
    - on my phone it is running very well with CK zombies... :D

    How to apply:
    - download the zip file and place it on your sd card
    - install the zip via CWM
    - wipe dalvik cache via CWM
    - reboot your phone

    Bushido

And here is the link: http://www.multiupload.com/YEC8Z74LE0

---------- Post added at 09:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:37 PM ----------

    Hey Bushido!
I put MTP application files to system/app directory and after reboot tried to connect with kies.
Kies says "connection with this device is not possible, try to disconnect and connect again".
    I need your advice.
    Thank you!

    Hey fakhri,

I'm sorry, but at the moment I have no access to a computer on which Kies is installed. Maybe I can check this at the weekend. But I'm not completely sure, whether it is generally possible, to connect kies to a custom ROM because Kies will verify several paramters at the moment you establish a connection.

I think most members use their google accounts to synchronize contacts and calendar entries. Or if it is just meant as a backup there are several tools to backup contacts, appointments and SMS to your SDCard.

Similar situation here. The game bugs after 3-4 levels.

I need hd video recording but I'll try bm anyway.

    Hey manjee,

thx for providing the screenshots. I had a look a the control freak settings and have been surprised. ;) I don't believe it is responsible for the CK zombies issue, but you could possibly experience some problems with your uV-value at 100 Mhz. With 800 mV at 100 MHz I had for instance some phone reboots during the night. ;) Low uV-values can also be responsible for many problems. FC's, closed apps, reboots or freezes. So it is best to always go back to standard uV if you experience issues.

    Disable Overscroll Glow

    Hey Simplicity-Fans,

for all of you, who dislike the JVT overscroll glow and don't want to wait for the Simplicity Cooker - here is the Simplicity Theme (1.5 Final) without overscroll glow.

    http://www.multiupload.com/CXNUIT8WH3

Just apply the ZIP via CWM and enjoy. :)
