Default huge battery consumption on my sensation

hi,

is there any ways to rectify my problem?

i have flashed arhd 1.1.8 rom with stock kernel and recommended radio.

But when i use currentwidget to monitor my battery consumption, i notice that it draws 400-500mA when i'm using, and 200-300 when idle.

is my battery miscalibrated? or is it because of faulty battery?

TIA

First things first I'd recommend that you fully charge and then recalibrate your battery, assuming that you're root there is an application called battery calibration

personally I'd also suggest that you drop current widget and start using battery monitor widget, I find it's more accurate and a better product.

The way to test phone battery consumption its to turn off wi fi, bt and gps, auto sync to off.

Leave it for a few hours with screen off and then review the log.

The screen will be the biggest consumer of battery so don't use auto brightness, you'll only need about one quarter brightness setting, only in direct sun light is a higher setting required.

When you use the phone expect the battery to fall.

You should really take the phone through a couple of full discharge and then full charge cycles before judging.

Ensure that the always on mobile internet setting is off (setting, wireless, mobile, always on.....) and that mobile data is only on when you're using it.
