Hello.
I dont know, maybe you need to Flash another firmware that is more close to your region, have you tried to Flash HK ROM?

With this firmware .184 that i have posted a guide on has a direct OTA to the latest firmware.

Any differences between generic global and generic UK?

Im in rooted 2.3.3 .145 generic global.

But I guess this is the only way to get rooted in .368 using generic UK. Am I right.?

Not sure about the differences between global/generic.

In terms of getting .368 right now on a bootlocked phone you'll need to load the generic UK or generic HK.

If you haven't made too many changes to your existing .145 you may be able to upgrade to .368 OTA when (or if) it becomes available.

I was running the generic global but got tired of waiting for the OTA update so I installed the generic HK rom to get .368 +root. So far so good. The only snag was trying to find the language option to change from the default (Chinese I think) to English.

The thing is im on .145 2.3.3 rooted,
And updated to the latest via OTA, and stated that in on the latest update n no more update available.

So I guess the only way to get rooted .368 2.3.3 is to follow this thread. Since I dint see any other methods to get .368 rooted.

I think both generic uk and hk are the same. different bloatware and 1 more thing is the hk version does not search for your 3g connection while setting up.

Was trying this all day with no luck until I realised that you cant modify the system file before u do the over the air update. I was testing I had root by removing the Chinese keyboard with titanium backup.

I tried again without uninstalling anything and it worked fine!

Thanks for the thread!
