The Acer Liquid E uses an IR reflection sensor to detect when it's against a surface. If you look carefully in the dark you'll notice the red light from it as it tries to detect. I wonder if it's possible to hack the kernel to use that IR port as a TV remote or as an IRDA transceiver. Just an odd thought. Anyone have any ideas?
