Do you mean only puzzlelock without the possibility of choosing between the lockscreens, or you mean 5 lockscreens with no ext power menu? The first one is a bit complicated, more than it sounds...

You made a back and forth in the menu, after had ticked on the 'Use packet data' in the networks menu, and the tick was gone? I only face this "problem" in the case if I don't have proper APN settings... So I don't think that this mod has caused your packet data problem. It has nothing to do with it.

I'm not a dev, so you can ask stupid questions I have flashed Dutchmods 3.0 and have managed to apply this mod on it with a simple RootExplorer copy-paste method. Works well, as you can see.

thanks maybe it didn't copy correctly shall try to do some more with update.zips etc:P

HI I have used the following method and 5_Lockscreen_Mod-Odexed_XXJPQ-XXJPS
Getting root access
- Go to ’Settings > Applications > Development’ and enable ’USB debugging’
- Plug the USB cable back into the phone > run SuperOneClick.exe > press ’Root’ and wait
- When the ’Test?’ dialogue is popped up, say ’Yes’ > you can close SuperOneClick
- Your device has been rooted
- Directly after these steps, do the followings:

Pushing modified files to the phone
- Download the suitable zip for your odexed or deodexed JPQ or JPS rom
- Extract the downloaded zip
- Navigate into the extracted folder
- Run ’push_5lckscr....bat’ and wait*, your device will have rebooted
- Modded files are already pushed to the phone, now you can use your favourite lockscreen and the extended power menu

And I have tried booting my phone in recovery mode nothing helped ...
