Question [Q] List of Softwares to flash xperia mini

Friends a few days ago i bricked my xperia mini while updating from SEUS. D cable went loose in the middle of the updation and SEUS showed an error. I restarted the phone and saw the SE logo blink just for half a sec and den the phone showed an exclamation mark inside a triangle, and finally went off. On rebooting same thing happened.

1. I tried SEUS, and it didnt recognized my device. Hence no gains.
2. I tried Flashtool and dat too didnt worked(pressing d back key and plugging usb).

Both these tools didnt detected my device... So i was forced to pay sony ericsson for a fresh update of my phone.

I was thinking is their another tool (dat SE service guyz use) or some other tool dat does not require the 'phone's back key and then usb' procedure.

Cox i wanna experiment with awesome Roms out there but dont want to pay SE a buck more.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm quite sure that if SEUS doesn't recognize your phone he asks you what device you have connected to the pc if you attempt to upgrade the firmware...

And what does SEUS notifies after you showed him what device you have attached?

It just lets you continue to the installtion. It pop-ups the window of instructions needed to flash (if you press 'update phone')

SEUS, if it does not detect your device, asks which device you have installed. Once you select your device, it retrieves the necessary software and repairs your device. I used SEUS, right at the start of my Love Affair with Owains ROM, on Win7 running on Parallels on a Macbook Pro 15" Core2Duo... and it worked fine.

Regards,
Wingnut.

Dont forget the salt.
