Tried both x10_2.3.3_DooMKernel-v04b.ftf and x10_2.3.3_DooMKernel-v04-FS-FINAL.ftf no luck.

bootloader unlock solution without downgrade and upgrade if you already have rooted 2.3 kernel - not a 1 click solution so only advisable for those who know their way around command line and adb:

PS. All I did was hex-edit the mapper kernel module version string - everything else is from the_laser

Did you try the kernel for the unlocked bootloader?!!

Normally, something good would go here, but as I'm the type of lame guy who has no catchphrase, I'm afraid there's no hip, witty comment.
Just plain ultra boring rubbish which you've been suckered into reading.

Xperia x10i
Flashing freaks...

Yes, I did.
I have fixed it through flashtool. Ask for root perms - Advanced - xrecovery - reboot into xrecovery.

in xrecovery, install dk-v04-modfxp_with_xrec.zip.
Now xrecovery work.

edit: Also just found out Doom have a new kernel I thought I have flashed the latest. This works.

I can't get into xRec.

What I did to unlock bl:
1. Flash Official SE 2.1 ROM (I wanted to do a clean install for this one)
2. Unlocked BL
3. Rooted
4. Installed xRec
5. Flashed 2.3.5 CM7 GingerVillan by spaarc
6. Flashed bb .71
7. Flashed Doom's Kernel v4-FS

It couldn't get into xRec at this point, so I tried Doom's kernel v4b, which does not work either. Rebooting into recovery from flash tool does nothing (the ROM boots as normal). What's more, 0.3 xRec GB Ready is recovery flashable zip only...

What do.

Edit: it seems like D's Kernels built-in xRec doesn't work for many people, so what I did to make it work was install xRec from GB-Ready Flash Tool.

Use the Doom's kernel from here I had the same problem with WB rom and this fixes it.

Holy Crap, I just flashed my phone with qsd8250_semc tool.....then reflashed doom kernel....and radio signal is back. I originally used qsd8250_setool2 to flash my phone.
