Don't do that... /facepalm.
The initramfs has to do with the service you receive. It has network references that are CDMA and Sprint specific.
And now he cant flash to stock kernel cuz we dont even have it yet... Isnt the recovery kernel seperate from The regular kernel? Or am i wrong? If so someone could flash juust the recovery and then flash su.zip and get the stuff we need... But im so guinnea pig, ill leave that to somone else..Don't do that... /facepalm.

That would be a more appropriate route like I said before you need root to pull the stock zImage to be able to pull the stock initramfs and compile kernels.

is initramfs universal? Can I just add that to kernel myself? Or is it specific to the device?

How to you pull stock zImage???
So was i correct when i said the recovery is seperate from the stock kernel?... If so someone else needs to do it other then zedomax as he alredy has the gsII kernel and not our stocl one..Because the initramfs can be edited for custom bootclasspaths, root privileges, and custom kernel names, ect.
You use a binary called dd on the phone, but you can't without superuser permissions, so you need root first of all. Try flashing clockwork for the GSII using Odin, if you are brave enough, then su.zip like a previous user mentioned. That might in fact let you achieve root considering if the partitions are the same locations and everything then I can walk you through pulling the zImage on the phone.
hypothetical.
if adb can find recovery (adb reboot recovery) shouldn't fastboot be able to flash CMW to the recovery partition like with a nexus phone. we know the bootloader is suppose to be unlocked (fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-3.1.0.1-crespo4g.img) just a thought. I might be way off.
Im pretty sure those files are useless because they are from the gsII kernel not ours.. Also untill we get the kernel pulled your phone will not have a cell signal cuz you cant flash the stock kernel back :/i have root, give me the commands, I've pulled 5,6, and 9 already.

we (ACS) are almost done so hold tight, som devs are still in school and others do have jobs but i swear it coming.Do we have a way to get back to stock at this point? I'm also on V2 and having some problems. Everything works fine for a period, but eventually the cellular radio turns itself off (icon goes to a circle with an X through it) and the only way to get it back is to reboot. I'd say I'm having to reboot every 15-30min.
