Im a great fan of s2 and bought it at once it came.. it worked great for more than two months.. but now im having a problem..

i have wi-fi issue.. two days before i turn wifi on and after few seconds it was automatically switched off.. it was happening again and again...it goes for scanning but not able to find any wifi... 2 days before it was working great...
I updated the firmware via kies..and done a factory reset… but NO USE…

Im frustrated... any suggestions??

Hi,

It seems there is some problem with the modem part of the firmware. What is your firmware version ? Try flashing a different version of firmware. Say XXKG5/XXKH3/XXKI3 etc. that might solve your problem.

If it still does'nt work flash the stock indian firmware and take the phone to samsung center for a replace / rectification.

Does anybody have issues with the light sensor in their gs2? Mine at times goes completely dark when I set auto brightness on.

Another issue, browser and message app does not close completely when back button is pressed.

First of all when you state a problem always mention your firmware.
I don't know on which ROM you are atm, but if it's KE7 then upgrade to KF3. If it's KF3 then do a Factory Reset and everything should be fine. KF3 is a great and stable ROM, you shouldn't have any problem with that.

sorry bro for not mentioning that... i have already updated from KE7 to KF3... but im still having the same problem...

I took the phone to samsung service center here... he is very irresponsible.. he is saying that your wifi is having problem because you have put a "foreign firmware"...I updated firmware only via Kies.. btw I have only flashed nokia phones...and I even dont know how to flash my s2...

guys pls help me... Im very upset....

Do a Factory Reset.

I am having the exact same problem as Athavan on my i9100.

When I turn on WiFi, it stays on for a 9-10 secs and turns itself off automatically.

I tried using 2.3.5 (installed using odin from samfirmware.com) and the same problem remained.

Now i am back to KF3 (Installed by Kies) . Details in screenshots...

I have tried Factory reset and clearing cache (by volume up+home+power button menu).

Still no luck. Any ideas?
