i tried to use superoneclick, but i couldn't

Has anyone tried this already? I will be rooting my friend's phone using this but I'm afraid that I might brick it.
* LG P500 (Optimus One)
* Beta tester for Mik_os' CM7 ROM builts
* Using ClockworkMod Recovery

offcourse there is recovery default in stock rom just it is not that advanced as of CW

Can you pls mention how factory recovery is done? Or, I was wondering if the phone can be 'un-rooted' if it has been rooted once
