Default Samsung stratosphere

So I have a opportunity to use the stratosphere (temporarily) for a few weeks. I'm an Epic user. I got to say that this phone is the Epic done right. I like how the usb port is on the bottom of the phone which doesn't block the headphone jack with a L shaped charger. The phone is running Gingerbread stock. LTE definitely has better coverage in my area. The back piece is textured and feels good in your hands. It's definitely the Epic done right but it's late to the party. For $99 its not bad.

Yes but its a dumb time to buy it now, considering that its kinda low end and on other carriers, you can get dual core smartphones for that price.

I know people who still have G1s. It's never too late.

considering that there has been no announced keyboard lte superphone, i think the stratosphere is a fine choice. im thinking of switching if i cant find a way to better my reception soon. but i keep clinging to the hope that some super daul core lte keyboard phone will get announced soon.

so my options would be data capiping with outrageous fees for 4g, or .25-.5 mbps (closer to .25 most of the time) download 3g where i live. man all of these service providers give us so many options its not even funny. either way you have to spread cheek and accept deeper ramming.

Do us a favor and slap that battery in the epic, let us know if it fits.

A coworker got two stratospheres for free on launch day at radio shack. Great phone for free! The battery looked different to me. Jealous watching him pull 13mbps down on LTE.

I love my Epic. And if I had to switch to Verizon, I would want this phone. At least until I could afford a nice, new, shiney phone with a bigger screen and no slide out keyboard. I'm getting so tired of the thickness of my phone for a keyboard I don't use.

I think it's kinda weird, though, that Verizon is getting this, considering I thought that the Epic is nearing it's EOL.
