o yeah i forgot,

the fingerprint issue is not nearly as horrible with the DuraSec protector as it is with the original.

the Polaris/TC seems a bit more responsive as well, as the protector is MUCH much thinner than the OEM one.

nothing else to report now

Anyone tried the Martin Fields screen protector yet? It should fit the Touch Cruise as perfect as the standard screenprotector.

Hm there was another Screen Protector somewhere in Polaris, and a link to another site with the Martin Fields screen protector.

Looks exactly like this site, but it was out of stock - on preorder...?

I ordered 5 duratech protectors. Took 4 of them to get one on with the minimum bubbles, is way too thin.

I removed the one I had on there yesterday as it had little scratches on it from the stylus.

Am back to square one of finding a decent screen protector.

Well, I'm using the martin Fields protector.
The original one has problems sticking to the bottom right corner of my screen. After re-adjusting a few more times, it ended up with dust all over the place.. lol

So.. I got the shop fellas to get the SP on for me. I find it slightly better than the original one, but this could be a placebo effect. Thickness is abt the same as the original one. Fits less than perfect, but the edges left are negligible. Covers the front cam totally - something that I like, as less dust to be trapped in there. Has back cam protector as well.

Overall, I'm a happy customer. I suggest, use the original one, and trash it if ya have probs with it. If not, make sure you get a darn good one like... brando?? that ppl have claimed to have less fingerprints. Btw, the brando cutout is fugly!!

I think they really blew it on that design decision. I wonder how much negative feedback they're getting on this. I'd probably have a Brando on my device right now if it wasn't for that cutout. For now I'm sticking with the HTC one and using window cleaner solution to try and keep a coating on it to fight fingerprints. It's working OK.

If I get sick of the HTC one then I'd probably buy a Brando if they revise the cutout otherwise a Martin Fields although I'm interested to see how the thicker DuraSec protector gets rated here because that seems to be the third viable contender right now.

Does the Martin field has front camera fully covered or is there any hole for the front camera.

Default Martin Fields

Hello,
I ordered for my TOUCH CRUISE & TyTN II screen Protectors.

Both from Martin Fields.

Will update after applying them.

Ok... I applied the screen protector to my TC.
Must say that i am very pleased, protector is very clear, and the touch flow works just great.
I say it is accurate and fit the device (TC) by 95% (half a millimeter that i see it can be adjusted)

A general tip before applying:
Use Gloves (nylon like in hospital if you have) because that wat it will not leave any fingerprints on it.

Yeap... I bought 5 DuraTech ClearTec protectors about 2 weeks ago and I´ve used them all... Application is a nightmare plus, as I wrote on the other thread about screen protectors....Quoting myself... Well after 2 days with this DuraSec - Clear Tec protector it´s very scratched. I´ve replaced it with another already I think the plastic is just to thin for the "full" touch experience. I always using finger scrolling and combine that with the cube... well this protector just isn´t up to it. It´s a real shame as the cut quality is excellent but for heavy finger use it´s no good.

However received some of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FOR-HTC-TOUCH-...742.m153.l1262 two days ago and although they are not as well cut as the DuraTec protectors application is very easy... no bubbles on first attempt!! Plus they don´t scratch very easy which is great for the touch experience. I can recommend them and it´s a great price!!
