I predict that the future popularity of the Fire will have them making one. I have a Gumydrop case for my Transformer and they say coming soon for the FIre. http://www.gumdropcases.com/kindle-fire.html

DONATE TO ME
There is an Otterbox for the Playbook that may fit. We got one cheap off of Amazon for like $24.95 a month or so ago in hopes of using it with the Fire, but haven't tested it yet. The Playbook 3rd party rubber sleeves are too big, but the Playbook leather folio cases (3rd party) look/work great on the Fire. I got one for $4... regular price was $29.95.

About this sentence in the specs:
> Complete security for the Kindle Fire, including screen and port covers
Does this mean I wouldn't need an extra screen protector because the Gumydrop case has this already built-in?

Why buy a $40-50 case for a $200 item? "If you're looking for the most rugged, durable yet ultimately affordable Kindle Fire protection" Gumdrop, you think $50 case is cheap? really?!?!?

My rule is spend 10% of the device cost for case. I got a $24 trident kraken II case for my $250 phone, its an awesome case as good as otterbox.

For the fire the case has to be $19.99 or less for me to bite. Somebody has to make a quality one that is affordable too.

The Fire screen is gorilla glass, you don't need an anti-scratch screen protector.

I have one for my ASUS Transformer. It does have a plastic screen built into the case so you wouldn't have to have a screen protector on the device itself.

Because I want to, that is enough justification. To each his own.

Did you ever get around to testing the playbook case with the Fire? If so, how'd that go?
