Thanks for this rom, I am used to a clean rom on my HD2 is althought i didn't hate sense I felt like I totally didn't need is so this rom is perfect for me.

I have one question and it might be a stupid one but I couldn't find it in this thread. Am I supposed to have de Deamon controll app (like on ARHD) installed or do i have to over/under clock using SetCPU. Or can I download that app somewhere?

Thanks for the ROM!

Mate it's a stripped down ROM...
I don't mean to sound rude but if you can flash a ROM you can fix this very easily.

All the ringtones from my SD card were available, I don't see the issue tbh.
You could have googled for the stock ringtones and wallpapers and either saved them on your SD card, or moved them to the right part of the system using root explorer or something similar.

Installed this and changed to Bricked 1.5 (which fixes the known camera turn off bug), and so far I am liking it. It already rocks, can't wait to see this a version or two from now. Will post about battery life after a cycle or two.

Great concept for a ROM but I have 2 issues. 1) Horible battery life, worst of any rom I've ever tried. And yes I know and practice all the battery saving tips and tricks. 2) In order for wifi to kick in I have to go into setting before it grabs an ip address, even with setting wifi to never sleep.

I had better luck stripping a rom myself!

Anyway, keep up the good work and hope this one comes along.

I agree with the wifi issue, but everything else (including battery life) is pretty good.

Had no issues with wifi on this ROM, although I can't connect using wifi calling. Battery life seems fair (definitely not the worst of any ROM). I do get a freeze when pressing the gallery icon while in camera app, but I think this is a known issue. Otherwise, a great start (but then the OP had to go an update his other ROM...).

HyperNonSense v0.3 changelog, WIP

- Fixed change ringtone error
- Added Enhanced Quick Settings
- Implemented autobacklight tweak for more agressive backlight reduction (saves a lot of power...)
- Updated themes to match more HyperSensation

How aggressive are you going with the backlight? I'm running backlight at 15 as the lowest setting and 2 for the cap buttons. Be nice to not have to change the framework myself :)

23rd March 2012 - Message from the developer here

I believe that our Sensation can do a lot more / be a lot faster / and therefore we can be more productive than with the Sense ROMs.

CM7 for the Sensation is not there yet, so without further ado, I present a ROM with Sense, but with everything working that is needed (excellent Camera, SD card speeds just fine, etc)

I also like to customize my own apps in a given ROM, so any simple/minimalistic ROM is a plus for me.

I therefore present to all who like this approach my very own HyperNonSense ROM release, built from scratch by me.

    - Download links, changelog and addons and extras in post #2
    - Extras and other links (ie. kernel, addons, etc) in post#3
    - FAQ and themes in post #4

    What you get:
    - Simple, minimalistic ROM to be a good base for your everyday needs (those who like every app to be in there "out-of-the-box" should steer clear)
    - Tweaks to make battery life even better
    - Tweaks for the camera to take pictures without compression
    - Always updated base to keep your flashing appetite full :)

    Credits:
    - thanks to kevin here at XDA for Nova Launcher
    - thanks to capychimp for the APM
    - thanks to Schnizlon for the ICS AOSP theme and tweaks
    - thanks to nitr8 and insanity ROM (SGS2) for the ideas and a couple of icons/theme images
    - thanks to ljankok for the friendship in cooking
    - thanks to crypted for the AGPS patch
    - thanks to Splder for the theme!!!

    ROM Releases

    1. When you are finished setting up the device, do a normal reboot and then you will have normal operations!
    3. I have deleted a number of apps so that the ROM can be as lean and minimalistic as possible. If you find you need any apps that I have deleted, go to post #3 (Addons and Extras) and you will most likely find the app you need there! :)

    Dear All,

It is with a very sad heart that I am writing this message.

It has been an excellent few months now with a great crowd here at XDA and I have grown very attached.

But life is changing, and so are the circumstances. I will be moving to a new company, a new job, but most of all, even a new country. Hence I can not keep maintaining the XDA threads, the ROM, or even cooking/devving.

I say goodbye to all of you now, and if anyone wants to continue what I have started, please PM me.

All the best, and keep up the teamwork which is exceptionally great here at XDA,

    Kristof
