This thread was created initially by me when flashtool appear on market
In the beginning of the week i was contacted by
G-FACE to offer his help cause he had created a thread similar to this one on a site of his country. He offered himself to translate and i´ll put the translation here.
Well, that wasn´t exactly how i see things. He do the job. He must take the credit for it
So, the next posts and despite the fact it appears like it was written/created by me that´s WRONG! He did it after contact mods and give him access to do so.
SO. Thank you

[FLASHTOOL GUIDE] HOW TO for n00bies - THIS WILL BE TEMPORARILY CLOSED SOON
RECOGNIZING YOUR PHONE
Download the latest version of Flashtool from here:
http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/ thanks to
Androxyde &
Bin4ry
Quote:
Install Flashtool exe file and the update file if needed.
The first and most important thing is to be sure that Flashtool recognizes your phone:
Start Flashtool
Connect the phone with the computer via USB cabel
Wait till flashtool shows that your device is recognized. You will see your phone model on "Connected device:"
If you see in “Connected device” the name of your phone model you are good to go for next steps.
Quote:
If your phone is not recognized by Flashtool that means you don’t have the required drivers installed.
Open folder /Flashtool/drivers and install ggsetup-2.2.0.11
If after the above Flashtool still doesn’t recognize your phone, do the following:
From Flashtool/drivers folder extract the zip file XXX_ADB_driver which corresponds to your phone model
Open “Device manager” on the computer and find the device which is with an exclamation mark on it (do this with connected to the computer phone)
Right click on the device and choose Uptade driver
Choose to find the driver manually and browse to the folder where you’ve extracted the zip file.
That should install the required drivers on your computer.

BOOTLOADER UNLOCKING [BL Unlock]
ATTENTION: Working only for x10, x8, x10 mini/pro
IF YOUR PHONE DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR BOOTLOADER UNLOCKING, THIS FUNCTION IN FLASHTOOL SHOULD BE GRAYED OUT, BUT FOR YOUR SAFETY YOU CAN CHECK IT WITH S1TOOL!
Check if your phone is good for bootloader unlocking:
Download s1tool thanks to the_laser
Start the program and click on the "IDENTIFY" button
the program will ask you to power off the device
hold the "back" button on the phone and plug-in the USB cabel
wait until you see the following:
If it says "SEMC SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE" or "SETOOL2 SIMLOCK SERTIFICATE" that means you can continue the procedure and unlock your phone
BUT, if it says "NOT RECOGNIZED SIMLOCK CERTIFICATE", STOP RIGHT HERE
Quote:
1. If your phone is sim-locked to an operator you can successfully unlock the bootloader
2. If your phone has been sim-unlocked when you bought it new from the store you can successfully unlock the bootloader
3. If your phone has been sim-unlocked via a CODE given you by your Operator you can successfully unlock the bootloader
4. If your phone has been sim-unlocked by SETool2 , you can successfully unlock the bootloader
5. If your phone has been sim-unlocked by a software different than SEtool or a Code purchased from internet, DO NOT TRY TO UNLOCK YOUR BL, because you can permanently brick your phone
6. In any case if you're not sure for the above, check with S1Tool if your phone is good for unlocking.
Quote:
For safer and easier please assure that you are running Stock SE firmware 2.1 or 2.3.3.
You can be running on a Custom ROM, but make sure you are on Stock SE Kernel.
LET'S START UNLOCKING BL
Start Flashtool, connect the phone and wait to be recognized
Go to: Plugins/X10 Unlock/run
A screen will popup and ask you to connect your phone in flashmode
Quote:
1. Unplug the USB cabel from the phone (you can leave it plugged in the PC)
2. Turn off the phone
3. Press and hold the "Back" button on the phone
4. Plug in the USB cabel in the phone
5. Release the "Back" button after the above screen disappers
The unlocking process will start
Wait until Flashtool ask you to disconnect the cable off the phone, then turn on the device and connect the usb cable once again
Wait till Flashtool pushes the required files
After a while Flashtool will notify "Successfully applied unlock" and the phone will power on by itselfs
When it starts, Flashtool will recognize it, if it does you are done.
Congrats, you have successfully Unlocked your phone's BL
Quote:
To check if the unlock was successful, do the following:
Start s1tool again and click the "IDENTIFY" button
Where it says "S1 ERROM VER", if the code looks like this "r8А033" (the letter "r" is small), then you have successfully unlocked the BL, if its capital letter "R", then repeat the steps for BL unlocking.
