Still doesnt work for me. I'm running market build 3.1.3...

Note: vending.apk is actually com.amarket.apk.

For those who cant install anything from the amazon market to begin with, download the latest Root Explorer apk and load it into the root of your kindles memory through Windows Explorer. Then in the kindles web browser, type...
file:///mnt/sdcard/filename.apk
filename.apk being the name of your Root Explorer apk. This will work to install any apk you want, but once you have Root Explorer installed, its easier done through there.
Follow the instructions from the linked thread above to get a working android market.

To get the market to show up in the amazon launcher, use this...

yes. i uninstalled using titanium backup, and i rebooted between each step.
