Hey, I think @parmesh answered all your queries in his previous post. about the backup plan.. I still have the stock ROM on my device. may be I can try to take a back up of my my ROM for everyone use.

about GPS, I don't think that is really a major issue (for me), if other features work normal.

I'll install recovery and try to take back up of the stock ROM today.

guys got my HCL tab today, unfortunetly first piece was fauly, was not charging at all so got replacement but on this one it can't connect to mobile network(i have normal GSM card with GPRS enabled), its saying searching network from last 2 hrs, trid reboot multipal times, any clue, any special setup to enable mobile network (does it require 3G card only)?

if this one is model ap10-a1.. this should work on 2G SIM, as it worked for all of us. I use EDGE on it.

I'd say, check the basis settings like, not in airplane mode, APN settings mentioned correctly.. try manual network select.. toggle 3G, 2G..

if nothing works, I think your luck is really bad. get it replaced again with a working one.

I upgraded my tab to gingerbread with the above link...
its working but there are too many issues
mobile network error
sometimes its not booting up
market working 100%
tried to install sygic navigation and after installation its not opening

let me try this one CyanogenMod 7.1 with Gingerbread 2.3 suggested by U
ill post the update..
