Thanks alot for safety reasons I love to have as many sources of backups I can possible have
How do I flash this in odin? Just stick it in the PDA section and flash away or do I need a pit and one more question do I have to select anything like format partition. I forgot exactly what to do I'm a little familiar with odin because I used it once on my old vibrant that I still love,thanks I certainly appreciate this!!

Dude, link to instruction in first post...

Run ODIN, select TAR file in PDA section, and flash away...

no need to pit partition, etc..

anyone with malaysia 3g (UWAXME...lol) upgrade firmware in Kies? is it safe? we will still be able to root? does it remove tethering?

I update through ODIN to latest version KL1... did clean install and restore my apps using Titanium Backup..

Yes, still can ROOT, looks abit more stable & smoother, but wait for few days and see...

Tethering still there..
