Default Fix double blink archos 101

sencat is exactly right... don't bother with all the other things like wrapping it in a blanket.

Just plug in the power and then plug in the usb to the computer and push the power button and it will come on. Then in settings go to the about device and power setting and put the check mark by the deep sleep.

Then it should power off completely and charge when necessary.

Good luck

if you have this problem on the G9, best way seems to be to leave it plugged in to the power for a while and it reset's itself, I haven't had this problem personally but i know of a person that has had the problem on the A80 G9

My neighbor had problems charging his until he realized he was plugging the power cord into the headphone jack.

My last Intruder was a Grumman A-6E.

+1

It is very easy to be confused. I stuck mine into that y'day and was wondering why the charging light didn't turn up.

I got the 101 G9 on Thursday the 8th and by Saturday the 10th I was having issues with the screen not turning back on after it timed out.

I called Archos tech support for assistance with that and also the buttons near the edge of the screen weren't responding to my touch with ease (not sure if anyone else experiences this problem). Their tech support rep failed to resolve the issue and ever since I have been dealing with the same bs as everyone else.

My screen will not turn on, the light will blink, if I plug it into the charger it is solid green for a few seconds then the light shuts off. WTF Archos?

Maybe it's a co-incidence but I tried to put my A7o-250 on a hot water bottle (had one on my back as it was sore) for a few mins and it fired up after sitting there doing nothing no matter what I did, after being 'on charge' over night...

It's now taking a charge and has switched on...

Picked up a USB 'charge and sync' cable so might need to use that next time...

Thanks to all that replied on here though, I was at the point of seeing how many bits it would break into when hurled at the wall...

DONATE TO ME
Also just had this problem some days ago - after having no power plug near since I was in holiday my device ran out of battery completely...

For me having it pugged in for 2 days just DIDN'T load the device...
For me i had to use the long power press WHILE plugged in to make it charge again.
Im not sure which combination it was but it seemed like:

Out of Power -> plug in ac-adapter -> green light -> power press -> blink blink -> LONG power press (15s) -> green light again -> LET IT CHRAGE SOME MINUTES -> power press -> turned on

So it seems like just plugin it in wont load the device propper - u 1st have to try to turn it on and then reset it to make it charge... After that i was able to get it to work again.
Also I noticed doing that procedure WITHOUT being plugged in DIDN'T work!
Hope that helpes some ppl here and perhaps someone can confirm...

Okay, first my thanks to all and some new ideas and to see that my son is not allone. He came yesterday with his new tablet (Archos 80 G9) and was sad because it didn't restart.

So I try some things, read the documentation (it is different discribed in different languages!) but nothing helps.

When I plug it on the power charger, the green light binks-blinks-pause for some time. I reset and plug it again. Same but sometimes the led light but later it goes out. Until now the tablet didn't boot. No Archos logo...

So I will try:
- another button-charger-button sessions
- plug to a PC
- boot into bootloader
- warm the device up (hair dryer)

Hopefully I can make my son happy...

Did u try the above? While turn on and reset leave it plugged in - do not: "reset and plug it again"
For me it really didnt charge until i tried to turn it on - while plugged in - and reset (after) - but the power cord had to be plugged in all the time
Then w8 for chrage some minutes - and try again.
