If you are installing this using Mobile Odin .. don't panic when it takes too long in the boot screen.

TouchWiz is very slow. Overall this ROM is good to make u happy that finally CM9 will have significant progress

What kind of attitude is that? If anything this release will help accelerate work on CM9 on your SG2..

I hate to sound pessimistic but ive reading codework's blog and the main thing they are struggling with is the RIL. But also apparently samsungs RIL aint compatible with AOSP RIL so i doubt they will be able to pull it from this leak. Someone please correct me if im wrong

I've been thinking the same mate, as might have to wait for a newer leak. Its well possible that one of the devs or teams will fix it first.

Used mobile odin lite, worked perfectly. No 2g/3G. Camera/Video/music app are buggy as. I have a red border whenever I click something. Love the face unlock :) Sometimes when scrolling it goes the opposite direction :-/

The one thing that needs fixing is data connection...Sammy leaks really have nothing to do with the CM9 version as it will be based on aosp...They are fixing that but sammy is the one who will have to fix their one..Like you guys say newer versions we await

    adb push libsecril-client.so /system/lib

    some interesting changes I noticed

    1. Video player now supports mkv subs (ASS/SRT)
    2. Video player now supports FLAC audio (I know the phone supports FLAC but in GB I couldnt get it to play inside an .mkv as audio)
2.1 Video app's brightness setting uses a slider now.

    3. Samsung Music app has an option to automatically stop music playback after a set amount of time (30min intervals)
    4. Samsung Music app has lyrics support now

    5. Banding on gradients is significantly reduced (test on google music app)

    6. Polaris Office app seems to have been updated. (version 3.0.3118.5)

    7. SD card scanning is very fast. Almost instant. Scanning no longer auto starts upon every restart. Phone starts very fast too, >10sec. (good since it auto-restarts every few minutes)

    8. Browser has a "color level for power saving" option, though its not implemented yet.
    9. Browser tabs are same as GB i.e. very ugly.

misc. Task manager app is still included. ICS Nyandroid easter egg is still inside settings. New ICS live wallpapers are not included. Browser now has an option to invert pages (white on black).

Note: flipfonts are not working. Vibration settings not working. General UI is smoother than GB, but browser performance is inconsistent.

    Review time :D

I just donwloaded it, installed it via thoses instructions : http://knowmydroid.com/blog/android-4-ice-cream-sandwich-firmware-leaks-for-galaxy-s2 (great blog by the way)

    The important :

    what wasn't working :
DATA (some people managed to get internet, maybe it's just the way I flashed it via Odin ?)
Changing wallpaper : I can only chose a wallpaper from my galery.
Screen capture ( I tried ALL the way trust me )
resizable widget : I can't resize the gmail widget for exemple..
calendar : It force close everytime

Smoothness : everything works almost flawlessly, but something you swype the screen to the left and it goes to the right, vice versa.

Screen : there's all the screen mode : movie, standard and dynamic.

face unlock : pretty cool feature it worked even in mid light situation

speed : when I was on gingerbread my phone was always at 800Mhz and it's running as smooth as it was

Force close : I get about 2-3 forces closes every 5 minutes

Hope it helped to make your decision of flashing or not :)

At the end of the day I'll flash back gingerbread (but that's just my opinon)

    Thanks guys :)
