I will pay for a WM6 ROM for hx2795 that really works

Hi, All. My first time on here. I decided to upgrade my Hx2490b 1.02.00.h to wm6 and disaster has struck!! Best I can get out of it now is white bootloader. I have tried to downgrade again using hpruu 2.02.013 but get wrong rom report. I've tried p.s format steps and get no response. I've now removed the battery till my next attempt. Is there anyway back??

hi people, I have a little time now to answer all questions but -

-all versions is in English (WWE) - in order to use punctuation (we have some specific characters like ľščťžýáíéúäôň - I use Resco Keyboard, so there is not necesary to translate whole ROM, Resco keyboard do the trick

-yurix 6.1 have NO working messaging (I do not need that so I dont care)

-in yourrix 6.1 I have personally no problem with wifi or so. I used sprite backup ROM restore function (restore on different ROM/Device like backup was created) so all my programs and data has been restored and for me, everything working correctly (and IMHO a bit faster like in 6.0)

-I will check the rapidshare link tomorrow, sorry have no free time right now

-kitchen is not so complicated to use, yurrix already made a manual how to use it, but it is only in russian, so use a translator (like babelfish or so) - ftp://82.209.223.77/kitchen/hx2000/kitchenv2.pdf

-in his kitchen is a directory tools, and in there few utilz you can find on all this forum in other kitchens, one is nice, it is called "OEMizer.exe", try it

-it this specific kitchen is unpacked 6.1 ROM from yurrix, so you can just run build os, press the green button and thats it. after few minutes you have a newly created ROM and you can flash it. or you can delete/add some of your personal application to directory called OEM. but you need to know, how to create two files for each added content - e.g. 224233c9-ca96-4c11-8398-8bbe0216817d.dsm and 224233c9-ca96-4c11-8398-8bbe0216817d.rgu. check wiki, there is a lot information in here, how to cook.

and as usually I want to thank to yurrix who actually did a lot of work in here. so if you like his work, sent a few bucks to him ;-)

So.. what is the best way to have Yurrix's wm6.1 (kitchen) with possibility of reading mail such as in Pocket Outlook ?
Mabe exist some *.cab with installation of pocket outlook???

I tried an update of my hx2750 WM2003 French to (first) WM5.
On the HP site there is no French version for this model ==> I downloaded the english one

when updating I get an invalid language errror message.

What would be the correct procedure for this PDA ?

I cannot succeed to format PS my HX2750. I try
1) Hard-reset the unit (hold Power + Mail + Calendar, then RESET), you should see formating P.S. on the screen after.

but I never see "formatting PS" on the screen .

Where am I wrong ?

calendar, (next) messaging, (next) Power, (next when screen is black) reset - hold all to see formating info

calendar, next messaging next power, next reset (kept pressing everything)
the only thing than happened was a reset (normal ?) without any on screen indication of PS ...

Meanwhile I succeeded to program an english ROM :
For my 2750 winCE2003 Fr I did the following :
- using SP29849 (my original 1.10.01fr ROM ) to update the ROM
- swap the ROMs with SP29856 (1.10.09En ROM)
- UPDATE
the HX2750 is now in english
then I wanted to upload a WM5 ROM ==> incorrect ROM number (1.00.H awaited)

I downgraded from 1.10.09En to 1.00.14 En

Here I am, what should I do now ?

I then switched to PreBL mode to upload the WM5 ROM using 29795 HPRUU.exe and swaping the rom (SP32408_WM5En : Microsoft_Windows_Mobile_5_WWE.nbf)  ==> PDA bricked

output from cimetery : switch to PreBL mode (itask + contact + reset) then load HPRUU.exe 1.00.14 En (29795) ==> still alive !!!

and finally went back to my previous state 1.0014en ==> 1.10.09En ==> 1.10.01fr

Nice trip, but a bit frustating ...

I fixed the bug about MS Outlook in YuRRiX ROM. I´ve just compared registry as YuRRiX typed. I found, there is some wrong files (pimapi.dll, pimg.exe, pimgres.dll, pimstole.dll, poutlook.exe, tmail.exe) in SYS\BaseApps and tmailutil.dll from folder SYS\Redist\, so now MS Outlook works correctly. Those files looks similar, but they're comlpetely different.

I found good working files in wm6 sdk, so I dumped them.
You can download it at

and dumping these files.

How to do that is very simple. You need this tools http://rapidshare.com/files/103382595/tools.rar.html
and here are steps.
NBSPLIT -emu PPC_USA.BIN
(it generates two files: PPC_USA.BIN.extra and PPC_USA.BIN.payload)
IMGFSFROMNB PPC_USA.BIN.payload IMGFS.BIN
(it generates the file IMGFS.BIN)
IMGFSTODUMP IMGFS.BIN
And that's all. Files are dumped in /Dump directory, now copy these files to specified folders.
