*** New Device Forum Voting Thread ***

This thread will be used to collect votes for new forum requests. A high number of votes does not guarantee that any forum will be added. The decision to add new forums is ultimately that of the forum admin. This thread will just give a general indication of the amount of demand for each device.

- The most popular devices will be added to the poll. Less popular devices will be added to post #2.

- If your device is listed in the poll, please vote. There is no need to reply in the thread.

- If your device is not listed in the poll, please reply to this thread and state the device you wish to vote for.

- If you device is listed in post #2 and would like to vote for it, please reply in the thread stating this.

- All off topic posts/posts without a new device request, will be deleted.

NOTE: IF YOUR PHONE IS IN THE LIST, PLEASE DO NOT POST A REPLY IN THE THREAD. IT WILL JUST BE DELETED.

I WILL ALSO DELETE POSTS EVERY SO OFTEN, IN ORDER TO KEEP THE THREAD CLEAN.

1. I don't understand how to vote or check boxes. Can I PM you about stuff?

Don't PM me for any reason concerning this thread. If you send me garbage in my inbox, I'm going to report you. Plain and simple. If I made some sort of error, make a post here. Don't PM me.

2. How many votes can I cast?

One vote per device, per user.

3. When does the poll end?

It doesn't. This keeps a running tally of the requests to the devices asked for. Popularity does not guarantee a spot in our forum.

4. How many votes does it take to get a forum added?

There is no set number. Ask an admin how they decide.

5. Why did some other device get a forum when I think my device is more popular?

Popularity alone does not guarantee a home for any device here. Other than that, I don't know. Ask an admin.

We are likely to see more and more low priced devices around that will be very very popular (due to price) and we will not be adding them all if any!

So in addition to popularity we consider things like the specs of the device, does it have anything particularly new to offer, are there existing or potential developers for the device (not just ROM cookers) and so on. This does mean there will be potentially "good" devices that we will not add. In addition of course we have to have regard to our resources. In today's world we could add several devices per week, but we would not be able to provide enough administration and moderation to keep things running at least fairly smoothly!
