I have this challenge on my gsm port. Your cdma nv items are amuck is the basic answer. I'm working with another MetroPCS user that has data problems as well. Though admittedly, he flashed a lot of roms he might not should have. Since to my knowledge, I'm still the only MetroPCS Rom out there, let me first advise you to find the Rom here:
http://androidforums.com/wildfire-s-...y-marvelc.html

If still having accessibility options, download the following file to the root of your SD card:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?s7vrjc5oyo938ku
WARNING THIS FILE IS METROPCS SPECIFIC. DO NOT FLASH IF ON ANOTHER CARRIER.
Now boot into hboot and let it update (assuming you've got goldcard).

Now try your ##PORT# command. Let me know back on results.

Edit: Did some googling. Looks like MetroPCS's service programming access number is ##YOUR_6_DIG_SPC#" + "CALL"
Also another access number mentioned...
##7764726690 or ##PROGRAM690 (same difference).
Bear in mind, those codes were mentioned on a Optimus M forum; so they might not get you in, but you do want to find your carrier specific code.

On another note, I don't know if flashing a sprint prl to a metropcs phone is wise or not. VM is Sprint's prepaid carrier; so, it kind of makes sense.
This is an advanced hack/mod that the casual enduser probably shouldn't employ. Unless you know the spl will work, or have an updated spl to MetroPCS's upstream carrier. I'd read this thread as info only.
Just my 2c.

Rob

I can confirm that the Optimus M program code doesn't work on our MPCS phones.

Also, loading a VMUSA PRL into a MPCS phone will break data and quite possibly all cell reception. I don't recommend it lol
