I've done everything inside the first post...my bootloader is unlocked, but I can't get permRoot. I copied to the C:\Android\onclick directory and i've tried running straight and as administrator...nothing happens. I mean the bat file runs threw and reboots the phone at the end, but the su binary and busybox do not get installed. I've tried a factory reset and ran thru the steps again and still no luck...i do have a custom recovery flashed (amonRa recovery) which shouldn't affect me gaining perm root. Any ideas??...yes i do have usb debugging on and allow installing from unknown sources...HELP ME!!! :*(

Can you post the output of the oneclick script? Either copy/paste or screenshot.

ADB out of date is killing you. Either you have HTC sync running or a different version of ADB running. either check task manager for another ADB or reboot the computer. Then kill HTC sync if you have it running and that should get you going.

if you followed all the steps, then you should have a folder with 3 files in it. you navigate to this folder in the command prompt.

If you have never used the command prompt, do the following:

click start menu, type "cmd" in the search window, click on 'cmd.exe'

this will open a black window and will say something like:

Quote:
c:\users\yourname>
you should know the folder you put the 3 files in. For this example. the files will be in a folder located at
Quote:
c:\unlockfiles
at the command line, type
Quote:
cd..
and press enter , do this 2 times until you see:

Quote:
C:\>
then you navigate to your folder. my folder is at c:\unlockfiles, so I will type:

cd unlockfiles

I will then see
Quote:
c:\unockfiles>
at the prompt. I am now in the folder with the files.

your path will be different, or you may use the example i gave you , either way, navigating to the folder is the same. if the folder "unlockfiles" was on the desktop, I would type
Quote:
cd users\yourname\desktop\unlockfiles
at this point, pull the battery out of your phone and put it back in, press and hold volDOWN +power until you get to the white Hboot screen.

use the volume keys to navigate to fastboot, and press power to select it.

plug in the USB cable.

you can now use the commands provided to you by htcdev. start with the fastboot section, and go from there.

if you cant get past this, please send me a PM and I will walk you though it.

If you have trouble navigating to the folder you have adb and the other files in while in command prompt, try this: on your computer, open the folder that contains all the files, hold shift, right-click and choose "open command window here"

Just checking that you can still unlock the bootloader using htcdev.com. They haven't removed it yet have they?
