Default Difference between custom ROM and Launcher

As I was reading the forum I noticed the fact that a lot of people confuse the Custom Roms with Custom Launchers so I've created this thread to clarify the difference between these two:

The Launcher helps you :
-change animations and the graphics of your theme
-change your icon/app drawer layout
-get customized widgets

The custom ROM helps you:
-change your kernel(for battery life, sound quality)
-allows you to overclock/underclock(this can be also done by some application ex : ROM toolbox)
-removes the carrier/manufacturer skin
-change the icon for the stock battery meter
-update the version of the OS
-Add new features
-increase the speed and stability

Hope this was helpful.

There's this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1283346
But it's really only a port and not a proper custom rom.

SGS+ will never have a big dev community support, seeing as they don't want to spend their time on a phone that's not really that popular, so they'd rather code for the normal SGS.
People don't buy it because it doesn't have a lot of xda devs working on making it better, so it's an endless loop

overclocking and underclocking is a feature of kernel, not the rom and you can install custom kernel on stock rom too..
