have you tried looking in the Android Market for dedicated apps for those services? I'm pretty sure the Sky app is essentially Sky Player for Android...

Silverlight was never intended to work on Android, however it was made into a project extracted from Silverlight: Moonlight.

This was cut off aswell and with the upcoming abilities to watch movies/ shows/ etc. on websites (HTML5?) I doubt it will ever see the daylight. I assume Microsoft pulled the plug, I was checking into this aswell a lot.

Forgive me for being ignorant. does this mean silverlight will never work on android and i have to wait for html5? Will websites like love film ditch silverlight?

the latest I can find so quick (there are so many newsbulletings/ items about this) is this post, it is in Dutch but if you use a translate (f.e. on Chrome) it will translate this for you:

http://tweakers.net/nieuws/77975/mic...lverlight.html

It basically states that with the release of Silverlight 5 (december 2011) it will focus primarily on html5. On Wikipedia you can see the history of Silverlight and on which platforms it can operate, Android not being one of them (got a lot of negative feedback of not supporting on different platforms).

I think many websites will ditch Silverlight if they run the latest technologies but a lot of websites will keep Silverlight over html5 in the beginning to be 'safe', it is what I think, not fully know.

Many thanks for all your help. it seems to me that i will just have to accept that i cant use my galaxy on lovefilm or sky. i am sure that microsoft have also ditched flash in preference for html5 so i guess it is only a matter of time before all operating systems use html5.
