Is worth it. I mean the /system has 512mb just like the SGS II, the cache is 512mb aswell, the VM HeapSize is around 120mb, /data is 1gb, internal memory is 13gb. The camera does some nice shots (I find the macro photos pretty good), the Video Rec is pleasant enough, the browser is pretty great, the reception aswell, amazing sound quality, the display (the SAMOLED and the SC-LCD) is good, the design is quite pleasant, is made by Google (probably more updates), the bootloader is unlockable (the S2 has also athe bootloader unlocked), the RAM is sufficient just as the CPU and the GPU. But as I own both phones I gotta say that the SII is a hell of a beast. The performance is better, the camera is better, the CPU and GPU is better so in the end is your decision. The Nexus S still has something to give and is probably a long long way from it's grave. So yeah it's worth it.

Pretty much exactly as said. All the features are great on this phone, though most are done a bit better on the sgs2. The nexus is based on the sgs1 after all. The nexus is, however, far sexier.

SGSII no contest.

You want a phone that's going to last you the next few years. The Nexus S is nearing it's death (the single core thing is killing me here) :S

Do we even have networks good enough to transfer near-adsl2+ speeds with a mobile coverage/audience? For the lifetime of either the sgs2 or nexus s i wouldn't see the max speed as much of a negative.

For anything bar high-end use the single core on the nexus is easily capable. No doubt the sgs2 is a beast though, and it's easy to tell the difference in almost any situation.

Default Nexus S

Depends on carrier. Although gs2 has superior hw, looks like development for for tmobile sgs2 is already starting to die out. Perhaps that will change as soon as ics drops but, unlike some, I really dig the constant activity found in nexus communities. After experience with gs1, I don't think will ever buy another non-nexus phone.

Same here with the single core thing.
If I can buy the SII I'll go for it.
Though I'm still satisfied with my NS since I bought it last April.

If I would have to choose today I would rather go to SGS2 then Nexus S which I bought year ago. It is faster, not so fragile (my phone has scratches on screen).

But I do not remember how well SGS2 is supported by custom builds - this is where Nexus S shines.
