I'm syncing with my office's Exchange 2007 server. Fyi, I'm using email.apk with security disabled from SGS2 on my Note and it seems to be working fine, but need further monitoring to make sure that it really solves this problem. I can also see my Outlook Tasks in S-Planner, although I haven't tested if two way syncing of Outlook Tasks is working properly. I tried two different email.apk yesterday, and since last night, the second. The downside to this workaround is the small font size from the Inbox.

The email.apk that I'm using is from thehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1185749

Ok, guys.
Here is the reply from Sammy.

Dear Customer,

Thank you for your email. The email transaction number is 2104411411.

Please follow the settings as shown on how to synchronise the task with Microsoft exchange.

On the phone, go under settings-> accounts and sync-> tick background data and auto sync-> click on exchange server
under manage accounts-> untick and retick sync task.

Should you need further assistance, please contact Samsung Customer Care at 1800-7267864 (Mon-Sun 8.30am ~
6.00pm. Closed on Public Holidays)

Warmest regards

Samsung Customer Care.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

I did what they said and yes, it worked but not well.
Every tasks I created on the server, it was able to be loaded to the phone.
However, after loading to the phone, somehow 1 duplicate task (exactly same) was created on the server.
Therefore, at the end, every task I create has 2 copies on the Exchange server (in the Note, it shows only 1 task as normal).

I don't know when this chain of issues will be resolved.
For now, I must rely on TouchDown for this purpose.

Thanks for sharing. I've experienced what you had just described, I.e. double entries on server. Syncing from Note to Exchange server is a hit and miss. Btw, before I started testing the SGS2 email.apk, I discovered that the Tasks in Notes is actually To-Do-List in Outlook. I was able to sync both ways, but it seems to take a long time to be synced. I didn't test further because "IRM not supported" is a more important issue to resolve as compared to Tasks syncing, which has a number of workarounds.

Do you mean that Tasks from Outlook syncs to Note both ways without issue? I noticed that if my Task in the Note is set to default group, when it syncs to Outlook, it will appear without the Outlook category, thus appearing as a new Task in Outlook. Can you help me to test this?

One more thing, if you make changes to a Task in Outlook, does the update to Note takes place immediately, or you need to force a refresh or it will be updated by itself later?

How about the above with the change done to Note Task and updating to Outlook?

Please help me to test the above. Thanks.

You mind sharing with me the list of S-Planner and email (apk and odex) files from the Rom you are using? I'll PM you my email address for easy sharing of the files. Thanks.

I also found exchange sync on galaxy note is not so efficient. For example, it shall not sync all contacts in one time (i have contacts over 700 hundred), but may auto start and finish sync in one day or more, or never. It's maybe the problem of the ROM version not Samsung, I'm currently using 2.3.6 KJ6
