Battery is fine as long as you only turn data on when you need it. That is pretty crappy though as these are primarily data consumption devices yet the battery life is insufficient.
That said I could have sworn my N900 lasted a lot longer with data on.
I am starting to think that I would be willing to lose support for the 3D screen now in favor of a ROM that works, but only if I could still take 3D photos/video. Taking 3D photos/video was the only reason I bought this phone over something else, I might just have gone with an Xperia Mini Pro to be honest as I sorely miss a qwerty keyboard and can't think of a anything that NEEDS a dual-core.
The irony is the only things that really need the power are emulators, and they suck due to the lack of full support for Bluetooth profiles (eg keyboards, game controllers, etc).
There are a lot of things I love about the Optimus 3D, but the fact I can't even get key features I need the most (the alarm, mobile data, GPS, record video to my SD card) to work reliably on V21is killing it for me. Please LG bring out a fixed Gingerbread as this version is indeed seriously broken.
[EDIT]
For the record I was able to delete my widgets and put them back again. I wonder if this was a bug in LauncherPro Plus or the Optimus 3D that required this?
It doesn't fix the multitude of other bugs, but at least my phone is usable again while I await LG actually releasing a working firmware.
It also seems its only the official alarm which is broken, just tested an alarm app that seems to work alright.
Smartphone History:
HTC Wizard (Awesome keyboard), Sony Ericsson Xperia X1i Silver (Sucked), Nokia N900 (Poor support from Nokia), LG Optimus 3D (WORSE support than Nokia, at least their ROMs worked)
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - Was excellent until I updated to Android 4.1.2 which reduced the battery life to 1/4 of what it was before.
