That's the procedure I used with no problem. I was later informed that there is no need to mix the older bootloader because the KL6 bootloader works too. I also used nbates .sh file over here for the smaller .img installation:

Also follow his instructions for checking OSP free space:

You will need to change your screen time out to 10 minutes immediately after your first Android boot because of the power off bug. Install Wake Lock to prevent screen timeouts after that as explained by Scarface here:

I needed Root, and I found this explanation from lharvince to be the best:

can you upload your ext2system.img rooted? I dont have linux and my conection is slow to download it, i mean really SLOW 10 kbps
