yea, unpacked to ~982.9MB. worth the wait though.

A Gb for a EL30 Huh i though Roms were around 100-200Mb's not 1Gb haha?

I was hoping this but mine was dreadfully slow (booted slow ui was slow). I have a pny class 10 16gb. Its still awesome though.

So I unpacked the images on my PC then copied them over to my SD Card. Booted into CWM and "flashed" the el30.zip. Rebooted my phone and it went straight into CM7. What did I do wrong?

From the link in the OP:

How To Procedure

1 Download the tarball.
2 Unpack it in sdcard, leave the directory structure intact.
3 Boot into CWM.
4 "Flash" multiboot/EL30/boot_EL30.zip
5 It will boot EL30.
6 You may find it useful to also upgrade your modem.
