I used to want this (loved it on my x2) but I think it works the way the bionic has it.

U may have to edit part of build.prop. that's how it was on my x2... open it in a txt editor and look for a line similar to this

ro.additionalmounts=/mnt/sdcard-ext

I did this successfully on my Bionic.

Yes, You can edit the Vold.fstab file in the etc folder.
switch sdcard with sdcard-ext
and sdcard-ext to sdcard

I was able to make a complete backup of my ROM, backed up the Vold.fstab file, then open in on my computer and replaced it all. I will even attach the correct file here. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20166272/vold.fstab
