I am proud to present you:

Milestone 2 with HTC Sense UI

This is based on DefyFroyoSense for Motorola Defy made by Dexter_nlb.
Defy thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933710

(since now, I just took this rom and added some milestone2 hardware libs... now the "real" work will begin, cause I don't want the UI of HTC Desire HD, but Desire Z, cause of the landscape mode, also the bugs must get fixed)

This ROM is NOT(!!!!) stable, it does NOT fit for dayli use. It is a bunch of binary **** which makes your phone bootup sense. YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY WITH THAT!!!

working:

Quote:

- RIL
- Data
- Touchscreen
- Hardware Keyboard, sometimes
- Not much...

issues:

Quote:

- no internal memory, you can install apps anyway!
- no SD Card
- camera upside down
- no bluetooth
- launcher in landscape mode very buggy
- hardware keyboard very buggy
- everything lags a bit
- much much more

Quote:

Installation:
- extract ZIP
- copy to SDCard inside /clockworkmod/backups/sense
- boot into recovery
- select NAND restore
- Restore "sense"
- Wipe Data
- Reboot
- Smoke a cigarette, drink a coffee, seen "HTC Sense"
- play a bit with that rom
- go back to CM7, cause it's useless...

READ INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS, THIS IS NOT A CWM ZIP!!

Do not install bootmenu or Droid2 Bootstrap!

Quote:

boot to recovery: put empty file into SDCard with the name "recovery_mode"
boot with ADB : put empty file into SDCard with the name "adb_bootup"

Quote:

This is a developement thread ladies, don't ask questions or for ETA. Everything I want to see here is just error reports or help with bugfixes.

Quote:

Want to encourage me to go on with that? Buy me a Red Bull
OR HIT DA ****ING THX BUTTON!

and remember, it's android 2.2 with HTC Sense, so it's not Gingerbread!

Progress:

Quote:

Next fix will probably be: Launcher in landscape mode

I would like every type of help everyone here can give. I am not a real developer.
As I can see, I can not simply take the Desire Z Launcher and smash it onto this ROM and AFAIK the Desire Z is the only Sense 2.1 device with an hardware keyboard.

Rosie does not even appear inside the logcat when using the Desire Z launcher, so I will experiment a bit tomorrow.

If anyone of you can help with fixing a bug, he should feel free to do that.
