i cant get my headphones to work any ideas?

i have the same problem as yours..
i already tried different headsets but still it doesn't work at all...
anyone that could help us regarding this problem?

Talking Headphone issues
My headphones work, but the music plays on the speaker when the headphones are attached. Does not seem right

Are you using original HTC headsets?
I've always used with mine and I've never had problems as you mentioned.
