Can someone create some tabular sheet in the OP :
Three colums...
APP ... fuctionality lost if any..... votes
Kind of a glance card for the NOOBS we have to learn some way

Those are fine except for remote controls, which is pcwclients.apk, which was reported to freeze and
cause crashes in android.process.acore. Though im not sure how accurate that info is.

No freezes though. But I still have remote control on processes. I think it's different from remote control.apk

The spreadsheet in the first post lists each apk, and has a general description of what they do, actually firm info on what exactly each one does is hard to come by, as I don't think its documented anywhere.

I am not sure what else you want?

Default Frozen apps:

Hello all.


If any one (but me) uses the Kies Backup, Should know that the two EMail apps are required for backing up the "E-Mail account information"...
(found it by trial and mistake...)

Thanks for this list and all who stated what can be frozen safely.

hi, i removed google search, but i still have the widget listed under "widgets".. how can i remove it from there?
