I have done three of these so far, and I think you can make it work. Two of mine work well with my Drizonic case, and the third came out a bit tight but works without the case. You just need to keep whittlin away at the plastic where the connector is going to sit and test fit a lot with your phone in the case. Then when it goes in well, gloop the epoxy on with the phone in place. If you are worried about getting epoxy on the phone, wrap some wax paper around the phone around the connector hole and stick in place with low tack masking tape.

Also when you plug a regular micro USB cable into the phone it wiggles side-to-side about 1/8th of an inch at least either way. Now I am worried that is will slowly break the port at the connection between the port and the motherboard/chip. I am assuming its like repeatedly bending a piece of metal which it eventually fatigue and snap.

Does anyone else have this loose micro USB port, and can anyone confirm if its actually the port that is wiggling or is it just the cable end wiggling inside the micro possibly widened/stretched port.

I have no warranty since I imported it, and I am really annoyed that Samsung is dragging the release of the pogo pin docks!!

FYI I have a TPU case on my GSM Galaxy Nexus, and I had it on and plugged into the phone when the USB port was glued to its final placement in the dock.
This is why Samsung designed the original dock with a shock mount on the USB plug. Just be careful when undocking and make sure to slide the phone out perpendicularly. People should give silicone sealant a try and see if that works as well as epoxy or super glue. With silicone sealant you have a big of give when pulling out the phone.

how does the phone with drizonic sit on the dock, is the bottom side well supported?

The fit is pretty good along the bottom. Mine has a pretty big gap on the left, but that is not important for support.
