[SGW] How to Make Boot Animation

I wish to start developing this can somebody can guide where about this is in the root as I know it is just modifying the .gif or .jpeg etc.

SGW bootanimation is in qmg format ...... hope someone can convert the png type into qmg format..

I've done exactly what the tutorial says!
I don't know why it doesn't work for you...have you set the right permissions for bootanim and samsungani files? (I've done everything from root explorer)

edit: I've used the honeycomb blue from this thread:

just rename to sanim.zip and copy the file into /system/media
That's all

it works like a charm. only have to unzip custom_booting, copy it with root explorer to system/bin and then copy sadim.zip to system/media

it will not work if the kernel you are using has disabled bootanimation

It didn't work for me too, at first try . But then i saw this post, tried it, and it worked like a charm . (im using kezra v4 atm .)
